KEY FACTS

  • Bee’ah has a workforce of around 7000, with 6500 white collar employees, and close to 500 administrative and managerial staff members
  • This is the company’s 9th year of participation at the National Career Exhibition

EMIRATISATION

  • 25% of Bee’ah personnel are Emirati citizens
  • In 2018, the rate of Emiratization grew from 21% to 25%
  • 75% of our Leadership team are UAE Nationals (Average Age 40 years and above)
  • 35% of our Operational Team are UAE Nationals (Average Age 34 years)
  • 36% of our Corporate Support Functions & Services team are UAE Nationals (Average Age 32 years)

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Sponsoring three to four UAE Nationals yearly to the Sharjah Leadership Programme (SLP)
  • Launched the Executive Development Programme (EDP) internally for UAE Nationals
  • Participation at the UAE’s Recruitment Campaign under the Sharjah Human Resources Authority
  • Implemented Success Factors Performance Management, to identify skills and enable growth of UAE Nationals within the company
  • Frequently releases media advertisements in the press for hiring UAE National post-graduates
  • Organisation of open days to represent Bee’ah and interview UAE National post-graduates
  • Partnered with regional training and development leader, IEMS (Institute of Environment Management & Sustainability- Middle East) to ensure continuous learning through web and app-based solutions

PARTNERSHIPS & YOUTH INVESTMENT

  • A patron of the American University of Sharjah; supporting their activities & providing employment and internship opportunities to students
  • A founding partner of Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre, supporting young entrepreneurs
  • A strong supporter for the Sharjah Leadership Programme & a thriving work environment for SLP graduates
  • Launched outreach programmes such as the Bee’ah School of Environment to encourage environmental activism in students from a young age

CULTURAL DIVERSITY

  • Bee’ah has employees from over 36 nationalities
  • 75% of our employees are expats
  • Bee’ah fosters a culture of diversity by embracing and encouraging differences in age, race, religion, disability, marital status, gender, language, and socio-economic status

GENDER EQUALITY

  • 40% of employees in managerial positions at Bee’ah are female
  • The company has actively facilitated a hiring process that encourages gender equality, especially giving young Emirati women opportunities to join and grow with the company

HUMAN RESOURCES AT BEE’AH

  • We foster growth by making employees an essential part of our decision-making
  • In 2018, we conducted Ma’an: an employee engagement survey, that was aimed at creating a better work environment, by understanding employee sentiments, opinions and personal objective alignment with the company’s vision

DIGITISATION AT BEE’AH

  • How will digitization affect employment at Bee’ah: As a digitally advanced company, we are working with next-generation technologies, such as AI, blockchain and machine learning, but our purpose in using these technologies is not to limit human talent, but to create a more productive workplace, where digital platforms support our employees
  • Human Resource Management System (HRMS):
    • We have become one of the first semi-government companies in the region to automate all recruitment, on-boarding & training functions
    • This will allow to streamline our functions, allowing us to select the best candidates, facilitate faster selection and decision-making, smoother on-boarding and ongoing training
    • It will also allow our employees to work faster and cut down on time spent on mundane tasks, from around 2 weeks to 3 days
    • We have also launched an e-learning platform in partnership with IEMS
